Not to sound preachy, but if you’re not wearing sunscreen on a daily basis – what exactly are you thinking?! If you’re on the East Coast, you may even be laughing at the idea of buying sunscreen right now after our most recent storm. However, even those of us who aren’t #blessed with idyllic weather the majority of the year need to wear sunscreen every.single.day. Yes, even when it snows! UV damage can occur from a slew of sources besides just the sun – your computer screen, fluorescent lights, and even the smallest of rays coming through windows can all amount to damage over time.
Okay, enough preaching. You get it (hopefully.) If you’re on board, you probably want an effortless product that won’t add any time or hassle to your routine. Enter: Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen ($32). I’m not a religious person, but this product feels like a godsend. It is completely colorless, scentless, and truly weightless. The oil-free formula has actually replaced my old makeup primer to smooth and mattify my skin before I apply tinted moisturizer or foundation.
In the past, the sunscreens I’ve tried have promised not to leave residue or shine, but after a few hours that was never the case. Not with this superhero. It leaves a matte finish, but not in a way that makes my skin feel at all tight. Even better, it’s chock-full of antioxidants that are actually good for your skin. I’m also a big fan of the inclusion of meadow seed oil for light hydration.
If you had previously been avoiding wearing sunscreen daily because of the white cast or finish it left behind, that changes today. You’re welcome.
