For whatever reason, I feel completely ungroomed if my nail beds are bare. I truly don’t mind it on other people, and I often even notice nicely buffed bare nails on friends, but I, personally, can’t stand having unpainted fingertips. What bothers me the most, however, is chipped nails. This causes such deep-seated anxiety that I keep nail polish remover pads in my desk drawer at work.
I’ve long been bringing my own polish to my local nail salon every week, but previously it was because I wanted the ability to do my own touch-ups. After discovering Londontown Lakur ($16), my MO quickly changed. I now refuse to use anything else because this completely obliterates the need for touch-ups. It lasts better than any other long-wear polish I’ve tried, and trust me when I say I’ve tried them all.
Even better, somehow this enduring polish is non-toxic, meaning it doesn’t include any of the nine common harsh chemicals that most polishes rely on. Riddle me that: a high-performance formula that is actually good for you.
For the full monty, don’t hesitate to add the Londontown kur Nail Hardener and Base Coat ($18) and Londontown kur Gel Genius Top Coat ($20) to your stash. If your manicure doesn’t last at least a full week, give me a shout.
PRICE TAG: $16-$20
